QUESTIONS/ANSWERS

A stuntman or woman is both an artist and a technician, so he or she may be required to act as a stunt double to perform a risky action in place of an actor, but he or she may also be required to play a role in his or her own right, always in relation to an action sequence. He or she must be able to adapt in all circumstances and master:
The fight,
The falls,
Firearms,
Edged weapons,
The basics of stringing and cabling techniques,
Safety concepts regarding pyrotechnics and special effects,
Camera shots and staging,
Analysis and prevention of risks related to the cascade to be executed.
Being a stuntman requires extensive training.
This is why Action Training Productions has developed a method called "technical and educational progression" to enable you to acquire the skills and experience necessary to practice this profession safely.
The average salary of a stuntman is €2,933 net per month or €45,123 gross per year (see source for more information) . He or she is paid by fee and is under the intermittent entertainment workers' scheme. On set, his or her salary varies from €400 to €600 net per day. He or she can also be employed on a fixed-term contract for amusement parks, for example, or on a permanent contract for a production company.
Students' physical preparation is carried out throughout their training, allowing them to develop exemplary physical fitness and muscular capacity combining tone, endurance, and flexibility. A healthy lifestyle is also essential to prevent injuries. Action Training Productions trains its students through rigor and discipline. They follow a curriculum regulated by level groups and progress through different stages, which allows each person to progress at their own pace and in complete safety.
In summary, injuries and accidents are rare.
