Louis MARC MARTY
Founder of Action Training Formation

More than 40 years ago, Louis-Marc Marty made an observation: at that time, the stuntman’s job was mainly learned on film shoots. There is no real school, teaching method or path to gradually learn the trade.
Convinced that a stuntman must be trained with the same requirement as any other professional, he decided to create what did not exist yet: a school dedicated to the training of stuntmen. In August 1984, he opened the first waterfall school accessible to the public. Even today, this same requirement continues to guide all Action Training Formation trainings.

more than a stuntman,
a trainer
Before passing on, Louis-Marc Marty built his experience in the field. A former soldier, professional stuntman since the 1980s and an expert in martial arts, he has dedicated his career to understanding movement, body control, and security.
Third degree state graduate in judo-jujitsu, holder of a second degree in kobudo and a first degree in karate, he is also the creator of Shinseido, "way of authenticity", a martial art developed around the mastery of gesture, control and risk management. All these experiences have a common goal: to pass on a profession where nothing should be left to chance.
a method that
made the difference
At Action Training Formation, we don’t learn stunts by reproducing what we see. First, we learn to master the fundamentals. Each technique is taught step by step. Each progression is designed to allow the student to acquire the right reflexes before tackling the most complex situations. This method, developed by Louis-Marc Marty, is today the heart of the teaching provided within Action Training Formation. It allows our students to progress with confidence, in a demanding and structured environment.

recognized experience
Throughout his career, Louis-Marc Marty has acted as a stuntman or stunt director on many productions: French films from 1984, the show Moteurs... Action! Stunt Show Spectacular at Disneyland Paris, or The Pact of Wolves and Samurai alongside Philip Kwok, director of stunts in John Woo’s films.
He also created two stunt shows performed at more than 600 performances in France and Europe.
Action Training Productions is also behind the stunts of the pilot episode of the science show "On n'est pas que des cobayes", which convinced a national channel to broadcast the first season.
In 2021, the show Les Touristes, presented by Arthur on TF1, devoted an exceptional show to Action Training Productions. Louis-Marc Marty intervenes as
co-host and referent of the waterfall world.
